Hotel and restaurant glossary
Every term links to the feature that solves it.
The statement of a stay. It accumulates room and charges until checkout.
A single statement that groups several rooms or events of the same client, usually a company or an agency.
The billing instructions that define which charges the company covers and which ones the guest pays.
Every place in the hotel where something is sold: restaurant, bar, pool, room service, front desk. Each with its own cashier shift and its own report.
The close of a cashier shift: how much sold by payment method, how much cash should be in the drawer and what the difference was.
Moving a charge to the guest folio instead of collecting it on the spot.
The order that goes from the server to the kitchen.
A variation of a dish: how the meat is cooked, no onion, extra cheese.
What has already been consumed or invoiced and not paid. A future unpaid reservation is not receivables.
Classifying what you are owed by how long it has been overdue.
The maximum a company can owe before it has to pay.
How much each occupied room spent on food and beverage, on average.
The accounting standard hotels around the world are compared with.
The hotel’s end of day: sales are consolidated, the business date rolls over and balances are left ready.
How much of each dish sells and how much each one leaves.
The blocks of the day with their own menu and prices: breakfast, lunch, dinner.
The day’s total across every revenue center. It is calculated, not opened.
Cancelling the effect of a transaction without deleting it, with author and reason.
Moving items from one check to another while keeping their kitchen status.
How much each closed check leaves on average.
The mid-shift partial and the final close of the day, respectively. In Inn the close is by cashier and by revenue center.

The kitchen screen where tickets arrive.
The integration between a POS and the hotel system. The thing Inn does not need.
A feature bought separately from the base system. In Inn they do not exist: everything comes in the package.
Your restaurant already sells. Your system just does not know it.
Fifteen minutes, with your menu and your tables. Nothing to install.
